Cochlear Implants

A cochlear implant is an electronic device that stimulates the auditory nerve directly with electrical signals. While it does not restore normal hearing, it provides individuals with severe hearing loss access to sound through electrical impulses, improving speech recognition.
Unlike hearing aids, cochlear implants bypass damaged parts of the ear and stimulate the nerve directly using implanted electrodes.
